Asankh chor haraamkhor

Asankh amar kar jaa-i jor

Asankh galvadh hatiaa kamaa-i

Asankh paapee paap kar jaa-i

Asankh koorhiaar koorhay firaa-i

Asankh malaych mal bhakh khaa-i

Asankh nindak sir karayh bhaar

Nanak neech kahay vichaar

vaariaa naa jaavaa ayk vaar

Jo tudh bhaavay saaee bhalee kaar

too sadaa salaamat nirankaar

So many are too weak to look at the horrors of this world

So many are thieves living from oppressing their next

So many powers are mastered only by the ego

So many turn away from all they cannot understand

So many hide their errors with new ones

So many live by lie and spread their lie everywhere

They deny the Divine and turn humanity against themselves

So many see only their burden and darken their own light

Nanak, this is my own weakness that I am looking at

How could I even sacrifice my life for You

Only for Your honour can I bare to live in this world

Sacred and Invincible, Formless and Eternal Spirit!
